ECSE welcomes new member Broker-Dealers
The Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange (ECSE), has announced the admission of Sheppard Investment Services Limited and National Investment Corporation as its newest licensed Member Broker-Dealers, further expanding the network of market intermediaries serving the Eastern Caribbean Securities Markets.
This development reflects the ECSE’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the regional capital market by increasing access to investment opportunities and enhancing the availability of brokerage services across the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU), states a release from the ECSE.
It follows the admission of ACB Caribbean, which launched its Wealth, Asset and Brokerage Management unit, branded ACB Invest, in January of this year. With these additions, there are now nine licensed ECSE member Broker-Dealers serving the Eastern Caribbean Securities Market.
ECSE Member Broker-Dealers are securities market intermediaries authorised to buy and sell securities listed on the ECSE. They provide investors with greater access to the securities market while supporting businesses and governments seeking to raise capital for growth and development.
Commenting on the new membership Chief Executive Officer of the ECSE, Vincentian Stewart Haynes said: “We are delighted to welcome Sheppard Investment Services Limited, based in Saint Lucia, and National Investment Corporation, based in the Commonwealth of Dominica, to the ECSE family. The addition of these new market intermediaries strengthens our distribution network and reinforces our commitment to building a more accessible, inclusive, vibrant and resilient regional capital market. Together, we will continue connecting capital with opportunity and advancing sustainable economic development across the Eastern Caribbean”.
The ECSE said it continues to pursue strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening financial literacy, broadening investment inclusion, enhancing market accessibility, and fostering innovation within the region’s financial sector, and the addition of these new broker-dealers represents another important milestone in advancing these objectives and creating greater opportunities for investors throughout the ECCU.
