SVG earns Multiple 2026 World Travel Awards Nominations

St Vincent and the Grenadines has once again earned significant regional recognition, securing nine nominations across several categories in the prestigious 2026 World Travel Awards.

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority, in a release on the accomplishment, is encouraging the public to support the destination and its tourism partners by casting their votes at: ww.worldtravelawards.com/vote before voting closes today Friday, August 28, 2026.

The Authority said the nominations further reinforce the destination’s growing reputation for nature, sustainability, luxury and exceptional tourism experiences.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines has been nominated for two major Caribbean destination titles:

  • Caribbean’s Leading Green Destination 2026.
  • Caribbean’s Leading Nature Destination 2026.

The destination’s representation is further strengthened by Mustique, which has been nominated for:

  • Caribbean’s Leading Luxury Island Destination 2026.

Additionally, six tourism partners and properties across St. Vincent and the Grenadines have secured nominations:

  • Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – Caribbean’s Leading All-Inclusive Resort 2026.
  • Villa ONE @ Grenadine Hills, St. Vincent & the Grenadines – Caribbean’s Leading Luxury Private Villa 2026.
  • Hummingbird Villa, Mustique – Caribbean’s Leading Luxury Private Villa 2026.
  • Canouan Estate Resort & Villas – Caribbean’s Leading Wedding Resort 2026.
  • Mandarin Oriental, Canouan – Caribbean’s Leading Luxury Resort 2026.
  • SVG Air – Caribbean’s Leading Private Jet Charter 2026.

“Together, the nine nominations demonstrate the strength and diversity of the destination’s tourism sector, from its natural landscapes and commitment to sustainability to its luxury islands, resorts, villas, wedding experiences and aviation services,” the SVGTA said.

Chief Executive Officer, Shafia London, is encouraging Vincentians at home and throughout the diaspora, friends of the destination, tourism stakeholders, industry partners and visitors to rally behind St. Vincent and the Grenadines and cast their votes ahead of the Friday, 28 August 2026 voting deadline.

The Authority said the 2026 nominations build on an impressive record of recognition for St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the World Travel Awards.

The destination was named Caribbean’s Leading Green Destination in 2024 and 2025, and Caribbean’s Leading Nature Destination in 2024. St. Vincent and the Grenadines also achieved global recognition when it was named World’s Leading Nature Destination 2024.

“These accolades reflect the destination’s continued appeal as a nature-rich Caribbean escape, distinguished by its lush landscapes, pristine waters, diverse marine environment, secluded islands and cays, and authentic experiences across the 32 islands and cays that make up St. Vincent and the Grenadines,” the Authority pointed out.

It said this year’s expanded representation also highlights the important contribution of the destination’s tourism partners.

“From internationally renowned luxury island experiences to world-class resorts and private villas, as well as locally based aviation services, the nominations showcase the range of experiences available throughout the destination.

“The recognition also reflects the collective work of tourism stakeholders, communities and industry partners who continue to contribute to the growth, development and international profile of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines,” and the Authority is urging the Vincentian public to rally behind the destination and its tourism partners by voting before the deadline expires.
