Flow to end Vincysurf email service on September 30

FLOW ST.VINCENT AND the Grenadines has announced that its legacy Vincysurf email service will be permanently retired on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

To provide customers with ample time to transition, the retirement of the service will be implemented in phases, the telecommunications company said in a release.

Flow said beginning on Monday, August 31, customers will no longer be able to send emails from their Vincysurf email accounts, and from Tuesday, September 15, incoming emails to those accounts will also cease.

The platform will be fully decommissioned on Wednesday, September 30. After this date, customers will no longer be able to access their email accounts or retrieve any messages stored on the platform.

Marketing and Corporate Communications Executive at Flow SVG, Cenus Hinds is quoted as saying that the phased approach has been designed to ensure customers have every opportunity to make the transition smoothly and with minimal disruption.

“We know that for many customers, a Vincysurf email address has been part of their daily lives for many years. As technology has advanced, however, the platform behind the service has reached a point where it can no longer support the security, reliability, and capabilities expected of modern email solutions,” he said.

“That is why we are giving customers advance notice and the resources they need to make the change with confidence. By starting the transition now, customers will have plenty of time to move any important emails, contacts, and online accounts before the service is permanently discontinued.”

Flow said customers should begin preparing for the transition by establishing a new email account with an alternative provider, downloading, or backing up important emails and files, and notifying personal and business contacts of their new email address well before the service is retired.

Hinds said the retirement of the service reflects the significant evolution of the digital communications landscape over the past decade.

“Email has changed significantly over the years, with most customers now choosing dedicated, cloudbased services such as Gmail, Outlook andYahoo Mail for their everyday communication.

“These platforms continue to evolve, offering robust security, generous storage, and seamless access across multiple devices,” he said.

“As customer needs have shifted, our focus has also evolved. Retiring the Vincysurf email service enables us to direct our resources toward strengthening our core connectivity services and developing digital solutions that deliver greater value to customers across St.Vincent and the Grenadines.”

Flow said they will continue to engage customers throughout the transition period through direct emails, SMS notifications, the company’s website, retail stores, and other customer touchpoints to ensure they remain informed at every stage of the process.

Customers who use a Vincysurf email address for business purposes are encouraged to contact their Liberty Business Account Manager to discuss alternative business email solutions.

Residential customers requiring assistance can visit any Flow retail store or call 1-800-804-2994 for support.
