Police Carolling Contest set for tonight
THE Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) hosts its annual Police Christmas Carolling Competition today, Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Central Police Station Grounds. “For more than 20 years, this event has been one of the clearest signs that Christmas has truly arrived in St.Vincent and the Grenadines,” the RSVGPF states in a release. This year’s theme, “Keeping Caroling Alive in 2025,” reflects the RSVGPF’s commitment to preserving a tradition that has brought families, officers, and communities together year after year. Competition starts at 7:00 p.m.
The Senior Division line up comprises: • Traffic Angels – defending champions
• Rapid Response Unit (RRU) Carolers
• Port Carollers
• Coast Guard Carollers
• South Central Division Carollers
• Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Carollers; and
• Headquarters Carollers With each unit adding its own flavour and comradeship, the competition is shaping up to be one of the most engaging in recent years, the police release points out.
In the Junior Division are:
• Spring Village PoliceYouth
Club, the defending champions
• Stubbs PoliceYouth Club
• Sandy Bay PoliceYouth Club; and
• Questelles PoliceYouth Club Commissioner of Police Enville Williams, has expressed gratitude to this year’s corporate sponsors whose support helps sustain this enduring tradition. It has especially acknowledged the Police Cooperative Credit Union (PCCU); Standard Caribbean Shipping; and the National Lotteries Authority.
The RSVGPF has extended an invitation to the public to come out and enjoy an evening of Christmas music and friendly competition, and they request that a small contribution be made at the gate upon entry.
