NTRC 2025 icode784 Finalists face the judges on October, 22
The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC),has released the category winners from its 2025 icode784 competition preliminary judging who will meet in the finals on Wednesday, October,22, 2025.
The preliminary judging was done for the Robotics category, Mobile App category, and Open Category on July 29, August 19, and October 3- 6, 2025, respectively.
Teams representing various secondary schools, NTRC Myapp summer programmes and the public were judged, and 30 teams from the schools, MyApp programmes, and the general public will meet to compete in the finals which will be held at the Kingstown Baptist Church.
In the Robotics Category, the finalists include Bishop’s College Kingstown (Linebreaker); Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia (Emmanuel Bot Builders); Mountain View Adventist Academy (People); St. Vincent Girls’ High School (Robotech); Thomas Saunders Secondary School (Robusters); St. Martin’s Secondary School (Empoderado); Union Island Secondary School (USEC); Barrouallie MyApp Valedictorian Team (Warriors); Kingstown MyApp Valedictorian Team (Claw and Order); Special Bots Unit – SBU); and Canouan MyApp Valedictorian Team (Code Crushers).
Finalists in the Secondary Mobile App Category are Bishop’s College Kingstown (WeatherWise); Canouan Secondary School (Tech Titans, Storm Tech); Mountain View Academy (Team S & T, People, Team MVAA Uno); St. Joseph’s Convent Kingstown (NEMO Supply Tracker Alert); and St. Vincent Grammar School (SVGS Innovators, SVGS Byte Force, ReadySVG J&R).
The Open Category finalists are Natlan (One Gov); The Mandem (Ecotrack SVG, Vincy Venture, Youthlink SVG, Agri Assist, IslandCart, MediConnectSVG); Year 10 (Lifeline); Tropitec (GardenCare); and GEMHS (GemhsMed).
Winners will receive monetary prizes. In the Robotics Category, the first place winner will receive $7,000; second place, $ 5,000; and third place, $3,000.
In the Mobile App category, the first place winner gets $10,000; second place, $8,000; and third place, $6,000.
For those in the Open Category, the first place team will win the grand prize of EC$15,000 along with a EC$30,000 grant to support the further development of their app. The second place winner will receive $10,000; and third place, $7,000.
