20 AgTechs selected for IICA Digital Agriculture Week
Press Release
September 9, 2025

20 AgTechs selected for IICA Digital Agriculture Week

Two digital agriculture start-up from the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) are among 20 that will pitch at the Digital Agriculture Week, spearheaded by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) later this month. The Digital Agriculture Week, at which the entities from Grenada and Dominica will be involved, has become a premier forum aimed at strengthening the AgTech ecosystem of the Americas, IICA states in a release.

The event brings together a diverse group of stakeholders- startups, researchers, producers, companies, cooperation and government agencies, incubators, accelerators and investment funds- to share experiences and innovations, as well as forge partnerships, to enhance digital transformation in agriculture.

The 2025 edition will take place from September 22-25, 2025 at IICA Headquarters in San Jose, Costa Rica, and will be streamed on the Institute’s YouTube channels in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

The 20 winning AgTechs in the annual competition will enjoy all-expense paid participation in the event. Moreover, at least 10 Agtechs from previous editions of the competition will also be in attendance, the release also states.

Twelve of the startups were selected by a panel drawn from IICA’s strategic partners: Oliver Gonzalez and Paula Aponte (Infoagro Global and CurubaTech- the 2024 winners); advisors of the Digitalization Programme- Laurens Klerkx and Mariana Vasconcelos- and representatives of Bayer, CAF, the IDB, ECLAC, AWS, Universidad de Córdoba, PROCISUR, The Yield Lab, Endeavor, Danta Fund, SP Ventures, Pomona and Incofin.

The eight remaining AgTechs were selected by countries that organized their own Digital Agriculture Day, which is the preparatory phase of the Week.

The winning solutions come from entities in 14 countries and are aligned with the six key areas of focus of this year’s edition: digitalization of field data records; digitalization of technical assistance and extension services; digitalization of trade and markets; traceability and oversight; digitalization of financial services; and digitalization of climate services.

The AgTechs selected by the panel are LiteFarm (Canada), Tecde.ai (Colombia), FINCATECH (Nicaragua), GAPY (Mexico), Tracestory (Argentina), Instacrops (Chile), Agrojusto (Argentina), Autolink (Uruguay), Ceiba Soluciones (Costa Rica), Agrotrace (Brazil), Crédito Digital INTERACTUAR (Colombia) and Suyana (Bolivia).

The winners selected by the countries are Lyn Bee’s (Grenada), Ceres Agriculture (Dominica), Imix Latam (Colombia), Autoplants S.A.S (Argentina), Okaratech (Uruguay), Croppie x Producers Direct (Peru), Pecuar.io (Guatemala) and iCrop (Brazil).

The winning startups will deliver presentations on the solutions that they offer, and their experiences in promoting the digitalization of different processes. There will also be presentations on public sector digitalization initiatives and keynote presentations from renowned international experts on the topics that have been prioritized in this year’s agenda
