Monitor the weather – Met Services

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) Meteorological Services say they are monitoring a tropical wave located over the Eastern Atlantic east of SVG.

A weather information statement issued yesterday afternoon, June 27, 2024 said the tropical wave was moving westward at 15 to 20 mph or 24 to 32 km/h and there is an 80% chance that a Tropical Depression or Tropical Storm can form several hundred miles east of the Windward Islands this weekend.

No watches or warnings were in effect for SVG at the time of issuance of the statement; however, the Met Services strongly advises residents to keep informed on the progress of this system.
