Twin Boys camp performance lands their school a gift of exercise books

The Lodge Village Government School was the recipient of a quantity of exercise books recently as a result of the outstanding performance of two of its students who attended a Summer Bible Camp last year. The twin brothers, Jordan and Jayden Morgan who were first time campers, were selected from among 180 participants at the Glad Tidings Summer Bible Camp 2023, a release from the organisers said.

The books were handed over on February 12, to round off the Golden Anniversary celebrations of the Glad Tidings Bible Committee, the Youth Development Arm of the Gospel Hall Assemblies of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The criteria for selection of Most Outstanding Campers included participating in team duties and daily activities; exhibiting a high level of cooperation, comradeship and respect for each other at all times; and having a tremendous impact on the quality of camp.

Glad Tidings Bible Camp was established in 1973 with the primary objective of having young people enter into a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, while developing interpersonal skills through association with Christians and non-Christians in a group setting. Preparations are already being made to host approximately 200 junior and senior Bible campers in July/August.

The Golden Anniversary Celebrations which stretched back to 2023 and included a dinner, also saw two Secondary School sponsorships for the academic year 2023-2024 being granted to successful candidates. The successful candidates must have attended church and Sunday school regularly.
