Annual Vincy Unity Picnic carded for July 15

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) Associations of Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto, Canada are preparing to host their annual Vincy Unity Picnic on July 15, 2023, at Crysler Provincial Park in Eastern Ontario. This family-friendly event has become a staple on summer calendars worldwide, attracting over 10,000 attendees, including Vincentian nationals, their friends, and individuals from Canada and the USA, a release from the organisers state.

The Vincy Unity Picnic serves as a vibrant celebration of Vincentian culture and community. From 7:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m, participants will gather at Crysler Park to immerse themselves in a day filled with the rich heritage of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The event offers a unique opportunity for attendees to showcase their traditions through food, traditional attire, music, captivating performances, and engaging interactions with Canadian and Vincentian government officials and dignitaries.

Originally held at Brown’s Bay Park, the Vincy Unity Picnic was relocated to Crysler Park in 2022 and 2023 due to major reconstructive work being undertaken at Brown’s Bay Park. Despite the change in venue, the spirit and essence of the event remain intact, promising an unforgettable experience for all participants.
