Former Speaker to be accorded Official Funeral on Union Island

Dennie Mc Carl James Wilson, former Senator and Speaker of the House of Assembly, who passed away on April 07, 2023, will be accorded an Official Funeral on Monday May 8, 2023.

A release from the Office of the Prime Minister said the funeral service will take place at the St. Matthias Anglican Church, Union Island, commencing at 11:30 a.m. This will be preceded by viewing from 11 a.m.

Interment will be in the Ashton Public Cemetry, Union Island.

As a mark of respect, all flags throughout the State will be flown at half mast on Monday, May 8, 2023.

“Government takes this opportunity to extend sincere condolences to the family of the late Mr. Dennie Mc Carl James Wilson,” the release said.
