Vermont outfit serenades villagers with Christmas Carols

A Vermont-based non-profit organisation- Vermont Our Place United (VOPU)- last Friday, December 9, turned up the Christmas cheer a notch with a sponsored walk and community serenading in two neighbouring villages.

The double-barrelled event was held in the villages of Pembroke and Penniston where residents were treated to a range of Christmas songs of joy, and will continue this week in Vermont, a release from VOPU states.

This is the first of many initiatives the organisation says it has planned for the Christmas season. A session of jingle and mingle is slated to start on the night of December 19 and will end on the morning of December 23.

VOPU says they are a unified body of individuals set on promoting community spirit through various activities and functions.
