GHS student is valedictorian in NTRC’s 2022 MyApp Summer Programme

A second form student at the St Vincent Girls’ High School emerged as valedictorian of the NTRC’s 2022 MyApp Summer programme. Claudia Lovelace therefore received an Acer laptop from the NTRC.

The telecoms body wrapped up the last of its two MyApp summer programmes last week Friday, August 10 at the Buccament Bay Secondary School.

The objective of the MyApp summer programme is to teach participants between the ages of 13-18 how to code using a pocket-sized computer known as the micro:bit. The NTRC said in a release that this will help participants to gain insightful knowledge in coding as the demand for software developers is increasing. The students were also introduced to robotics where they were able to construct and then use their coding skills to code commands into the robots.
