Finance Minister, Camillo Gonsalves is leading this country’s delegation to the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting which is taking place in Kigali, Rwanda.

This is because prime minister, Dr Ralph Gonsalves was unable to leave the state on Sunday, June 19 for travel to the June 20-26 meeting.

The prime minister who tested positive for Covid on Thursday, June 16 and was in quarantine at the time he was to travel said on WE FM on Sunday June 19, that the delegation of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) includes Education Minister, Curtis King and Ambassador to Cuba, Ellsworth John.

He also said on Sunday that he now had no symptoms of Covid. He had a “sniffle” on the first day, but he has had no chills nor fevers.

He said he feels alright.

The prime minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley has also recently tested positive for Covid.

The 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting is being held under the theme: Delivering a Common Future: Connecting, Innovating, Transforming.
