Tropical Shipping makes donation to World Paediatric Project

Tropical Shipping St Vincent & the Grenadines has made a donation of EC$ 2700.00 towards the work of the World Paediatric Project (WPP).

A cheque in that sum was handed over on Monday, June 13 by the Sales manager of Tropical Shipping, Maxine Howard to Executive Director Caribbean World Paediatric Project, Lauren McIntosh, at the shipping agency’s office in Kingstown, a release states.

Howard expressed pleasure in donating to the organisation and spoke of Tropical Shipping’s commitment in honouring its corporate social responsibility through its giving committee whereby children in need of medical assistance are offered assistance.

World Paediatric Project is a non profit organization ​which focuses on providing critical paediatric services to children in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Eastern Caribbean. It has had a presence in St Vincent and the Grenadines since 2002 and has helped more than 3400 Vincentian children with a value of services in excess of EC$8​4 million.

McIntosh extended sincere appreciation to Tropical Shipping for the financial support given to WPP in its mission to provide care to children in SVG and across the Eastern Caribbean.

Tropical Shipping also affirmed its commitment to the success and well-being of individuals and businesses throughout the Caribbean and The Bahamas, which it serves.
