Young Singer to release her first single

A YOUNG Secondary School student and singer is set to release her first single titled, “Friends” later this month.

According to a release from AskEnterprise, Ky-yah Roderigues, a student of the Girls’ High School will release her first single on June 22.The song, written by Hayden Billingy was produced, mixed and mastered by the Melisizwe Brothers through the Gold Mind Foundation music programme, the release states The 16-year-old is a vocal student at the RS Music Academy, and a member of the Agape Methodist Dramatist.

In December 2021, Ky-yah performed at Steel Expressions as one of the show’s youth ambassadors.

Through her music, she wants to be an advocate against bullying in schools and sponsor a child who is a member of the school’s feeding program. As a new artist, Ky-yah also intends to use her talent to create a positive change in the world, hence the partnership with the Melisizewe Brother’s through the Gold Mind Foundation, which has donated musical instruments to children around the world who cannot afford them.

Ky-yah is the daughter of playwright and dramatist, Kevin Roderigues and his wife, Charlene who is also a seasoned dramatist.

The Management team at AskEnterprise Inc. say they are currently working on other projects that are scheduled to be released this year.
