Outboard engines, boats and fishing gear valued at over $47,000 stolen

Three 40 horse-power outboard engines, two cigarette boats and a quantity of fishing gear valued at over $47,000 were stolen at Saline Bay, Mayreau on three separate occasions over the weekend.

A release from the police said the thefts, which were reported to them on Saturday, March 5, took place between Friday, March 4 and Saturday, March 5.

The release said the three grey and red Yamaha two-stroke 40 horse-power outboard engines, the two cigarette boats and the fishing gear, which have a total value of EC$47,305, are the property of three residents of Mayreau.

Persons with information that can assist the police with this investigation are asked to contact the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Crimes at 1-784-456-1339, or the Officer in charge of Grenadines Division at 1-784-457-1211, or any Police Station/ Police Officer you are comfortable with. All information will be treated confidentially.
