National Performing Arts festival launches virtually

The official virtual media launch of the Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines National Performing Arts Festival took place yesterday Thursday October 28, at the Peace Memorial Hall.

The Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines(BOSVG) has committed to the festival for the 15th consecutive year continuing its support in youth development and theatre in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).

The year’s festival will run from November 6 – 28, 2021 and will feature several nights of activities in categories such as poetry, monologues, choral speech, re-enactment, group skits and a two night full-length production, “Moon On A Rainbow Shawl.”

The BOSVG and the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture is looking to raise the bar on the festival this year, thereby achieving the overall goal of improving the standards of the creative and performing arts in SVG, a release from the National Theatre Arts Festival Committee stated.
