Eleven new Covid19 cases reported in SVG
Eleven new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from 215 samples processed on Thursday, May 20, resulting in a positivity rate of 5.1 per cent, a release from the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) said.
Of the 11 new positive cases, one is an evacuee from an emergency shelter.
“Eighteen new recoveries were noted over the reporting period. One hundred and thirty-four (134) cases are currently active and twelve (12) persons with COVID-19 have died. One thousand, nine hundred and seventy-three (1973) cases of COVID-19 and eighteen hundred and twenty-seven (1827) recoveries have been recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines since March 2020,” the release said.
The public is urged to continue to use masks, sanitize, physically distance and get vaccinated to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
