OSV Group Inc joins list of companies to donate to A&E

A public private partnership aimed at refurbishing the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) is reaping benefits and has attracted a third donation.

Last Friday February 21, OSV Group Inc. donated EC$20,000 to assist with the refurbishment. The donation was handed over by OSV Group Inc. representative Dr Jules Ferdinand to Minister of Health Luke Browne.

“We always look for opportunities to enhance the development of our people and this is one of the practical ways that we see ourselves doing it.

“It is our pleasure to be able to make this contribution as we work hand in hand with other stakeholders to enhance the service that is provided to the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines,” Ferdinand said.

He added that it was a pleasure to join with the government and hospital in enhancing the performance at the MCMH through this contribution.

Minister Browne commented that he is glad to see corporate entities helping. He said that FLOW and Coreas Distribution came before OSV Group and he is hoping for more assistance.

He added that the Ministry of Health will continue to push to make sure Vincentians can have the best possible care at the MCMH and other health facilities throughout the country.

“A&E is very important site in healthcare. If we get things right here, we get things right for a wide cross section of persons,” said Browne.

Also commenting was Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health Cuthbert Knights who said the Ministry is grateful to OSV for coming onboard.
