Young entrepreneurs to host discussion panel at SVGCC

Three young entrepreneurs will later this week share their experiences with students of the SVG Community College at a Panel Discussion hosted by the Centre for Enterprise Development Inc (CED) as part of activities to mark Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW).

The panel discussion is slated for Friday, November 22 at the SVG Community College Villa Campus at 1:30 p.m. It will be held under the theme, “Preparing the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs”, which is the theme for the week’s activities.

The panelists are James Byron of J.B.’s Enterprise – a young growing business that specializes mainly in poultry and bottled coconut water; Christal Oliver of Olive Art Designs – a small business specializing in handmade bags, purses and clutches; and Ozal Shallow of Find Ah Fete – an events promotions business that keeps you up to date with the latest entertainment happenings in an around St Vincent and the Grenadines.

These young entrepreneurs will help students at the college better understand the intricacies of starting and growing a business, using their own experiences and examining some of the challenges and looking at possible solutions to problems.

GEW celebrations here will end on Friday, with the closing of the Youth Business and Entrepreneurship (YOUBET) Seminar for 42 students of the Barrouallie Technical Institute (BARTEC). The workshop began on Monday and is being facilitated by Consultant Simone Murray.
