My position on the CCJ Issue
Editor: Disturbing stories about the Caribbean Court of Justice, CCJ, continue to trigger various responses, some emotional, some politically charged.
May I share a response which I consider to be balanced and also reflecting my position on the matter.
It comes from an article by seasoned Caribbean diplomat Ronald Sanders:
“What is required is an independent and credible examination through the appropriate governance mechanisms of the Court. Such a process must protect the rights and dignity of Justice Anderson, his judicial colleagues and all others concerned, while establishing the facts and determining whether the Court’s procedures and safeguards require strengthening”.
