Former teacher writes Chief Education Officer about noise pollution

Dear Madam

I write to you concerning the impending deafness epidemic that is upon us consequent upon the almost daily bombardment of our ear drums as students commute in minivans across the country. Excessive noise is also found elsewhere in other places including churches, bars, parties, private cars and public meetings.

I crave your indulgence in protecting us, the defenceless public from losing hearing capacity and further request that studies be done to ascertain the extent of the damage done thus far.
