Congrats, SVG on securing UN Security Council seat

Editor: I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the government and people of St Vincent and the Grenadines on being elected to United Nations Security Council.

The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has had a track record of significant accomplishments since it has been elected to Parliament. These accomplishments include the construction of the Dry River Bridge, settlement of the Ottley Hall project drain, the education revolution, the many housing construction projects, the building of the Argyle International Airport, the establishment of solar energy units on Union Island, and the construction a geothermal plant near Soufriere Mountain. Every such project is a positive game changer in the lives of the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

These projects are a reflection of the quality of leadership demonstrated by the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines. The progressive politics demonstrated by the government has its origin in the formation of the Yulimo political organization. The foresight and analytical thinking of its leaders Mike Browne, Renwick Rose, Casper London and later Ralph Gonsalves have helped to upgrade the infrastructure of St Vincent and the Grenadines, thereby investing in the future of the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

You may not appreciate their accomplishments today, but accurate history will record and later generations will reflect on their accomplishments with appreciation, similar to our review of today’s national hero candidates.
