Mothers

When God made mothers

He knew right there and then

That when the going gets tough

There will be someone in our life

We can cherish as a friend

Someone to make us laugh when we’re sad

We hear the stories she recollects

Fond memories of the past

The times when things were hard

And trusting God was all she knew

She had her time of laughter

She had her time of pain

She was educated in the toughest of times

challenges

Prayer was her forte

As her knees bent low

She prayed for all her children and grandchildren

The church and all the people she knew

That God will bless them abundantly

She now looks back with no regret

And gives advice that’s best

So we can be the better part of what she has missed

And aspired to be as she lives this life

Thank you mother our lives flourish because of you

Blessed Mothers’ Day to the all the wonderful

mothers of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Continue to be an inspiration to your children.
