Best wishes to Dean O Samuel Nichols

Editor: Earlier this year we were saddened by the passing of our dear Dean Patrick McIntosh of St George’s Cathedral on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Now, The Venerable O Samuel Nichols has been appointed as rector and dean of the Cathedral Parish and Church of St George, Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines, with effect from September 1, 2016.

We thank him for his stewardship at St Paul’s, Calliaqua and St John’s, Belair, over the last six years. It has been a pleasure communicating with him and St Paul’s, in particular, in the furtherance of the good of the community.{{more}} The celebration of the 175th anniversary of St Paul’s in 2015, in particular, will remain as a note-worthy undertaking in the annals of the church.

Best wishes are being extended to him on behalf of my family, the community that he served and the group known as ‘The Villagers.’

As he moves on to the next phase in his life, we pray that God may guide him and his family and the church in the future.

The service of Institu­tion, Induction and Installation will be scheduled after the restoration of the Cathedral. Efforts are underway to restore this historic institution, which is an outstanding icon in the nation, the region and beyond and so deserving of support.
