Dr Fraser, Zita and Israel — please!
I find it very distasteful to read Dr Adrian Fraserâs article of July 29, 2016, called “Then they came for Paul and Annâ. Dr Fraser is very fond of using this line of argument. But let us turn the spotlight on Dr Fraser, using his own line of argument. Dr Fraser must realize that when the NDP came for Dr Gonsalves, Fraser said nothing. When the NDP came for Hans King, Fraser said nothing. When they came for the supervisor of elections, Fraser said nothing. When they came for Jomo Thomas, Fraser said nothing. When the NDP came for Eloise and Isis Gonsalves, Fraser said nothing. BUT when the NDP backward forces came for Fraser, he wanted all of us to say something. Too late! What ah time! Moon does run âtil day ketch um. Dr Fraser stayed quiet when the NDP came for many Vincentians. So, Fraser should not be surprised when the masses of people tell him to “Bear yo grindâ!
Also I felt a high sense of disgust when I read and hear Paul Scrubbâs lawyer, Israel Bruce, saying that the Paul Scrubbâs case affects all Vincentians living outside of SVG. Really? I shake my head in revolt to Bruceâs antics. It sickened me when I saw how Zita Barnwell came out in her defence of Paul Scrubb. It seems there is a race going on in the NDP to see who can sound and look the most hypocritical and politically desperate.
Many people have been reading the vicious comments on Facebook posted by Paul Scrubb and his friends, members and supporters of the NDP, including the “Ralph hatersâ. Of course, they have freedom of speech. But what about the rights and dignity of those Vincentians who have been the targets of the venom and hatefulness of Paul and the others?
Dr Fraser, please do take heed. Show on a constant basis that you do not support that sort of violence from the NDP members and supporters. History will judge you harshly if you donât. This is backwardness of the highest order.
