I was the first!

Editor: I would like to put on record the following: I was the first Vincentian last year, 2014, to pen a short piece recommending that our current Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonsalves, receive the accolade of having the Argyle International Airport renamed in his honour.{{more}}

Of course, there is a prominent Opposition parliamentarian who touted for this accolade to be bestowed on the Prime Minister on the completion of the airport, but my recommendation preceded this.

It was during the centenary celebrations of the Girl Guide Movement last year that I wrote that piece in this newspaper. Subsequently, I was vilified by some persons for my initiative that was the unvarnished truth!

I was the first!
