FLOW/Columbus please, give your customers the service they deserve

EDITOR: I do believe that it is about time that the executives of FLOW/COLUMBUS (or whatever they are calling themselves this week) got around to removing their collective digits from their corporate orifices and offer the TV viewing public of SVG not only the service they deserve, but (more so) the service they pay for.{{more}}

How much longer is it going to take before these corporate cretins come to realize that this is an ENGLISH speaking nation and that ENGLISH is our mother tongue.

Why is it that we have to be forced to put up with a diet of both programmes and films that are transmitted in: Spanish, French, German, Swedish, Japanese and Russian, in fact, almost every language under the sun other than English or Martian!

This is made even more annoying (if that is possible) when one tries to use the EPG guide to preview a film.

Needless to say the preview is in Spanish, so unless you are bilingual, you do not know if the EPG is informing you “This is a great film, you miss it at your peril” or “This film is a load of rubbish, avoid it like the plague.”

Likewise, why do FLOW insist on forcing upon us long-suffering viewers a diet of 95percent of American gibberish and drivel that would only appeal to someone with an IQ somewhat lower than a mentally retarded mongoose.

What makes FLOW think that I (and others like me) want to sit and watch, night after night, a channel that is devoted to the “adventures” of some freak who has gone through a partial trans-gender operation and that’s not the worst of the selections available.

Just to add insult to injury, I happened to scan through the odd five per cent of “decent” programmes offered, in the hope of finding something worth watching and (for once) was successful. Until, that is, 10 minutes into the programme the FLOW service crashed and I lost signal on ALL channels. Is this a conspiracy by FLOW to prevent viewers watching anything other than mind-numbing mental pollution?

It appears, through the local media, that FLOW is taking great pains to inform us on how great their improvements will be in the future. If their current offerings are anything to go by, it will not take much effort on their part to improve on the dross and flotsam they are serving up to us at the moment.

I do not know (or care) what the official acronym of FLOW means (if it means anything at all), but whatever its official meaning it should be interpreted as: Flaming Load Of Wasters!!!
