Showcasing of ‘Hamlet’ in SVG boost for performing arts

Editor: How wonderful to have the performance of “Hamlet” in St Vincent and the Grenadines. Shakespeare’s plays are always relevant and highlight the fact that human nature has not changed from time immemorial. The theatrical group that performed this play, a company from the Globe theatre is to be thanked for the professional exposure offered by the performance of this play as part of the Hamlet Globe to Globe tour.{{more}}

At the same time, we congratulate Blazer Williams, known in theatrical circles in St Vincent and the Grenadines, for his recent publication of the novel “Memories of the Hibiscus.” Blazer has endured as an early and lasting voice in writing and promoting culture in St Vincent and the Grenadines. We thank him and hope that he inspires others to do the same in the future. I wish all who perform and seek to further that which is positive in the arts and culture much success in this creative arena. May the showcasing of local talent be encouraged and lauded.
