Literary Book Fair organisers lauded for very important step

I hope that Literary Book Fair was successful and I laud the organizers and participants for highlighting this very important undertaking.{{more}} I would like to congratulate and encourage all of the local writers who are researching and documenting local topics.This adds to the growing body of knowledge that is Vincentian and, by extension, Caribbean, thereby making significant contributions to the history and literary development of the nation and the region. It is enlightening and empowering to students and others to study their history and read works written by local authors familiar with their culture.

St Vincent and the Grenadines is fortunate to also have leaders who are writing and leaving their thoughts and ideas in the public domain. Future generations will be able to have local primary sources of information which will serve them well. They will hopefully gain an insight into decision-making at the national level from a unique perspective. It augurs well for the literary future.
