STOP it! God did not make anyone gay

Fri, Feb 01, 2013

Editor: It seems like the writer of the article ” Don’t use God as the excuse for your animosity” was solely interested in accusing me of bigotry, anti-equality and arrogance. I invite the reader to go back to my article – “I remain a supporter of God’s view on homosexuality” and respond to the Bible texts quoted which call homosexuality an “abomination” and make reference to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities.{{more}}

I have no hatred towards anyone. By the grace of God, I will not do harm or support anyone who threatens or does violence against the person of any homosexual. However, I denounce your lifestyle just as the Bible does. I call upon you and all other homosexuals to turn from your deviant sexual behaviour and to make the right sexual choice according to the will of God revealed in His Word. Whether or not I know gays and lesbians (sodomites) is not the issue, writer. Should I fail to show a person right from wrong because I know that person? Certainly not!

The writer implies that he was created gay by stating “…I did not choose my sexuality…” Do you realise that such a statement charges God for sin and also implies that God was really wicked to destroy the homosexuals in Sodom and Gomorrah when He Himself made them that way? You need to understand that the practice of homosexuality is a choice you make. God did not plant that choice in your mind when he created you.

God did not create anyone gay. The Bible says, “… male and female created He them” (Genesis 1:27). However,men pervert the abilities that God has created them with. They make the wrong choices such as homosexuality, paedophilia, bestiality etc. The Almighty created us with three fundamental rights- right to religious liberty, right to life and right to private property, not with any ‘right to be gay’.

He has also created us with freedoms; for example, freedom of choice and freedom of movement. Sadly, many use their freedoms wrongly to practise licentiousness and all sorts of evils. So perverted are homosexuals in their reasoning that they go against the natural order of things ” …the men leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working that which is unseemly…”(Rom. 1:27) Writer, take for example your very physical make up. None of your body parts was made to accommodate another man’s sexual organ. The use of the anus is to expel faeces.

So, when you choose to use it for other unnatural practices, don’t tell me you were born that way and that you don’t have a choice. Stop it! Allow God to change you and rightly inform your sexual choice. You also need to understand that if a person tells you what the Bible says or even share his views in disagreement to your lifestyle, it is not equivalent to hatred, animosity and harassment. Neither does it prevent you from expressing your views (as you have done). I have no animosity towards you. I love you enough to tell you the truth as shown by God in the scripture. God did not create a gender called gay. He created male and female.
