Thusian Institute for Religious Liberty Inc New Year message for 2013

Fri Jan 04, 2013

The Thusian Institute for Religious Liberty Inc wishes you the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines the holiness of God in 2013 for “Respect for Inalienable Rights and Freedoms” for all.

The year 2012 may be described by the words of well-known British author Charles Dickens, in his 1859 novel, as the “…best of times” or “…the worst of times…” However, God, the Author of Life before the beginning of time, describes it best as “perilous times”: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” II Timothy 3:1.{{more}}

Why? “For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God…” II Timothy 3: 2 – 4. Believe it or not, these are factors that provoked the violations of Rights and Freedoms which occurred in 2012 and in the history of humanity. For example, domestic violence, rape, burglary and murder…

However, God is willing to write a new chapter in your human relations for 2013 under the caption “Respect for Inalienable Rights and Freedoms.” This is God’s way of urging you to continue OR start having the correct view of the Rights and Freedoms with which He has created all of us – that is, whether you are male, female, black, white, Indian, rich, poor, Evangelical, Roman Catholic, Seventh-Day Adventist, supporting of the Unity Labour Party, New Democratic Party, SVG Green Party or the Democratic Republican Party. Despite our differences in gender, race, socio-economic status, religious beliefs and political affiliation, we must esteem the Rights and Freedoms of our fellowmen as inalienable or coming from God. For 2013, let us also relate to our brothers and sisters of creation, recognizing that their Rights and Freedoms are inviolable and ought never to be trampled upon, even though conflicts may arise from time to time.

Will you fire or discriminate against a citizen because of religious intolerance? That is a violation of the Right to Religious Liberty. Give yourself a chance thou guilty ones, to stop beating or inflicting wounds on your spouse or partner because you think that you are superior. It is a violation of the right to life. You should not rob your fellow man on any basis whatsoever; even though you think that he or she may be wealthy or poor, elderly, paralyzed, blind or illiterate. That is a violation of the right to private property.

My fellow Vincentians, May God help us to re-write the history of our SVG. Let respect for inalienable Rights and Freedoms resonate in the home, at school, in the workplace, in the hospitals, government Ministries, government policies, businesses and elsewhere, to bring in a golden age of peace and prosperity, in our “haven, calm, serene” during and after 2013.
