Homosexuality shouldn’t be legalized under guise of rights, freedoms

Editor: The idea of Gays having rights and freedom to practise their lifestyle, thus making it legal should never be entertained. We know that in certain states in AMERICA this kind of lifestyle is LEGAL. However, thankfully in most other countries of the world, including our blessed land called St Vincent and the Grenadines, it is Illegal.{{more}}

We know the Bible condemns such a practice, and God looks at it as an abomination. This practice resulted in the total destruction of a city, SDOM and GOMORRAH. This practice goes beyond the very nature of God and his creation. For God made a woman and a man and told them to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. He never put together two persons of the same sex and told them to be fruitful and multiply. He also said in Genesis 2: 24 for this cause shall man leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife. Again, it was a male and a female. In Romans 1:19 – 28 God likens such a person as having a reprobate mind and that of a beast. Also He calls it uncleanness. It is a result of a person not worshipping God as GOD, but has turned away and become hardened of heart.

We know that we would not hear politicians come out in open condemnation of such a practice or open confession, since it would be politically incorrect, and such a politician would suffer the loss of his/her political career. Such a politician may even be a Christian, but has to be silent on such an issue. This strengthens my point that no Christian who is serious about living for GOD and serving him should get involved in politics to the point of being a politician.

I must say that this distasteful practice should never be accepted amongst us, but condemned. We know that, soon, we would be faced in this country with the challenge by the GAYS to have their practice LEGAL. If we are to reach such a position to make the practice of homosexuality legal under the guise of rights and freedom, then our country would take a backward step as it goes against the very nature of GOD.

Let’s save this generation, by condemning such a practice and let us love the individuals who practise such an act and pray for them, for they are humans too, who are making worthwhile contributions, but their practice we should condemned and discouraged. Let’s try to teach our children not to involved in such an act and not even entertain such a practice. Let’s keep SVG moving and don’t go backwards. Thank you.
