Editor: I refer to your story “High Court Judge blasts Chief Surveyor” in your edition of September 10, 2010.

I have worked as a clerk with the late Cecil E. A. Rawle, and he had always emphasized that EVIDENCE is what convicts or frees a defendent.{{more}}

I agree with the decision because of conflicting evidence. I am also a viewer of various Court Case Programmes and the complainant/defendent loses or wins his/her case on evidence that he/she produces to judge.

When one goes to Court, be careful with evidence given. Avoid conflicting evidence. Verbal and written must be the same, and be careful with choice of witnesses because they at times can throw your case into the “dumps”.

SPEAK THE TRUTH AND SPEAK IT EVER; COST IT WHAT IT WILL. HE WHO HIDES THE WRONG HE DOES; DOES THE WRONG THING STILL.
