I have to preach to see Jah face

Tue, Aug 31, 2010

Editor: I want you to lend me another space in your newspaper. Don’t be afraid to lend me, because I am only going to preach, and I have to preach because I want to go to heaven.{{more}}

I believe that Jah cause my truck to go down in that manhole, because he want me to experience the problems that innocent people are facing in this country one after the other. One with my truck and one with my property, just a month apart.

My neighbour blocked off around his property and diverted all the water to my property. The rain came and all the water flowed from my neighbour and wash away my concrete road from my yard. I went to BRAGSA and had a discussion over the matter. They told me they’re not in charge of that, I must go to Physical Planning. So I went to Physical Planning and discussed the matter. They said they will send Mr. Jeremiah Johnson to see the place the next day; he did come the next day. When I saw him I feel like hope is in my pocket, anyway he looked at the place and said to me “Is Ministry of Health you have to go. I went to Ministry of Health, discuss it with them, they told me they have to discuss it with BRAGSA. Up to now I haven’t received any call from them, now let me say this. A young lady gets pregnant, she got her first child, and she then began to think like a mother. She said to herself “let me go oversea and look for a job to take care of my child”. She went away, and left her child with one of her relatives, unfortunately things didn’t work out as planned, pressure came down on the caretaker. Imagine government doesn’t have welfare in St. Vincent for little children at a tender age, who are beginning to feel the hopelessness of this country. I don’t want to preach, but if I don’t preach, I will go to hell. All nations have a rising population. I went to one or two of the Caribbean Islands, particular Trinidad and Barbados. In Barbados you go here, is Vincentian living there, you go there, you meeting Vincentian, how many Barbadians living here? In Antigua hardly any Antiguans leave their country and go abroad to live.

I want to ask all these leaders that run this country in the present and in the past a question, what do they want?

If Jah did want to put gold here he would have put it. If he want to put oil here he would have put it, but he put a volcano instead.

Barbados is not much bigger than St. Vincent, but some of our hard working people gone there to work to develop that country. We have natural resources in this country that Jah gave us. Mr. Leader, I am not saying anything bad about you, but I am just preaching. Jah take one loaf of bread and feed a multitude. We don’t have to wait for ideas from overseas.

I am not going to worry myself anymore because I know that Jah is going to send somebody with vision to lead us out of the wilderness, so all the hard working Vincentian will stay here, work and develop this country. The day you feel a changing of cool breeze blowing all around this country that is the time that Jah people will recognize the right leader. I have to preach, if I don’t preach I cannot see Jah face.

Mr. Educated man and woman if you know you don’t have any vision for this country keep out of government constitution and sit in the back bench.

All them politicians tell so much lies that it become a habit in all of the government departments. Mr. Politician let me draw a reference, let’s say three men building a plane, every man have their part to play, the first man do his part, Harry get lazy and didn’t do his part, the third man said to Harry: “Harry I am ready to do my part, have you finished your part?” Harry said yes, which is a lie, the third man do his part and complete the plane, you know what will happen next, that missing part Harry lie about will cause that plane to crash. It seems to me that Town Board, BRAGSA and Ministry of Health are wasting up a lot of money because they’re not functioning properly.

Let me say this to all them oppressors who harden their heart against me and get stubborn mind against me and done me wrong. You will never get away, you could run in your church and preach, you could run in your kingdom and hide, and you will never get away, why? Because Jah is my father. Moses is my grandfather and Samson is my brother, King David is my teacher and instructor.

I am that I am

Mr. Liveup Alistair Simon
