The mission of the Thusia SDA Church

Fri, Aug 6, 2010

Editor: A superabundance of criticisms continues to be hurled against the Thusia Seventh Day Adventist Church. Such criticisms have come from a wide cross section of the Vincentian populace, including Ministers of Government. It was most disturbing to hear ULP politicians on a radio station on the night of Monday, July 26, 2010, naming the Thusians as an example of persons who use religion to push their political agenda.{{more}} They claimed that the Thusians will do anything to remove the current government from power and that the nation must be educated about us.

It must be made clear that the Thusians are Christians who believe in the divinity and sovereignty of God who ruleth in the affairs of men. It is for this reason that our institute advocates the protection of the inalienable rights of man, with a special emphasis on the Right to Religious Liberty (or Freedom of conscience). Neither the Thusian Insitute for Religious Liberty Inc. nor the Thusia Seventh-Day Adventist Church has a political agenda. However, individual members are entitled to political Freedom of Association like anyone else, and as is constitutionally guaranteed.

Furthermore, we continue to educate the nation on matters of Human Rights, including the role of government, “For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil…” as is shown in Romans 13: 3. This has caused us to expose numerous anti-right actions of the Ralph Gonsalves – led ULP administration. Such actions are not a terror to the evil, but to the God-given rights and freedoms of the good citizens of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. For example:

1. Hon. Dr. Ralph Gonsalves signing the Bicentennial Manifesto of Caracas on April 19, 2010.

2. A blasphemous statement by Hon. Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, that socialism is “…Christianity in action.” Page 2, The News Newspaper, Edition of Friday, May 28, 2010, Article titled “Different Socialism in Cuba and Venezuela, says PM”.

How can we as Christians remain silent amidst such anti-God behaviour? Do you expect us to sit by and say Amen to this? Stop telling lies on Jesus Christ to justify socialism in order to secure a third term in office. How dare you accuse us of having a political agenda simply because we rebuke the socialist agenda of Dr. Ralph Gonsalves. Get this clear gentlemen: Our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ without fear or favour and to “…have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.” James 2: 1

The time you take to educate Vincentians against the Thusians, why don’t you rebuke Dr. Gonsalves for signing us onto ALBA and for refusing to tell the people about the content of the Bicentennial Manifesto of Caracas? Here is an excerpt:

“The Heads of State and Government of Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Cuba, Dominica, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Venezuela, member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples of Our America, Treaty of Commerce of the People (ALBA-TCP) ratified today, April 19, by commemorating the bicentenary of the start of the struggle for the Venezuelan independence, our commitment to the task of consolidating the sovereignty of our peoples building the road to socialism.” Bicentennial Manifesto of Caracas.

Tell me gentlemen, have you and your Prime Minister told the people about this socialism, which you claim is so beneficial to the poor? Consider this: “The term “socialism” refers to a theory of government where the state owns and administers all the production and distribution of goods. There is no private property.” The Manifesto of the Communist Party, ch.2: ‘Proletarians and Communists’ by Karl Marx & Frederick Engels – Now I ask, how is the poor man going to benefit from your socialism when he cannot own private property? Is it because of this why Dr. Gonsalves and the rest of his team refused to define adequate compensation as including current market value, in order to build the road to socialism (or communism) and violate the right to private property with which Vincentians were created by God? The Thusians reject this wickedness!

Speak the truth and tell Vincentians about the Top 10 Men with the most wicked minds: Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Ivan The Terrible, Vlad Tepes, Pol Pot, King Leopold II, Idi Amin Dada, Ruhollah Khomeini, Maximilien Robespierre, Attila The Hun

http://top-10-list.org/2009/08/05/men- with-wicked-minds/

Does Dr. Gonsalves want to emulate these men with his socialist plot? Let the people know that “It was during the tenure of Joseph Stalin as the supreme leader of the Soviet Union’s Communist Party when Ukraine suffered the worst famine ever recorded. It was even considered by many as an act of genocide committed by the government of Stalin against the Ukrainians. During the reign of terror of Stalin, an estimated 10 million to 60 million were reported to have been murdered.” Ibidem

“Ayatollah Khomeini was the supreme leader of the Islamic State of Iran for the period 1979 to 1989. The affairs of the state were managed based on the Sharia Law. Those who opposed his leadership were immediately put to death” Ibidem

Once again, gentlemen, the mission of the Thusians is to rebuke sin by all mankind, including present and future governments. Nebuchadnezzar was a wicked, anti-right king whom God punished and allowed his kingdom to fall. In like manner, God will punish any anti-right modern-day government by working on the hearts of the people when it is time to cast our ballots. Rest assured that the people are well educated about that!
