Allah is not another name for Jehovah

Editor: To the Christians who do not understand the difference between the God of the Bible and the Muslims‚ God.

THEY HAVE THE WRONG NAME FOR GOD.

It is very disrespectful to call God by a name different than what He calls Himself. In the King James Bible, in the Old Testament, whenever you see LORD (capital L, capital O, capital R, capital D) it is Jehovah in the Hebrew Bible, the original language of scriptures. I thank the Lord for a good English translation, and if I wish I can compare with the Hebrew anytime I want. {{more}}

I would like to make abundantly clear that their claim that Allah and the God of the Bible, the God of Abraham are the same. They are not. God says Psalms 83:18 “That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.”

That Isaiah 44:24 “Thus saith the LORD (That is Jehovah), thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;” Jehovah, not Allah created heaven and earth, by Himself.

The prophet Elijah referred to Jehovah: 1 Kings 18:36 “And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD (Jehovah in the Hebrew Bible) God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.”

The great prophet Moses also said: Exodus 3:15 “And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD (That is Jehovah in the original Hebrew) God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.” Moses wrote these very words, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit (which Muslims also do not believe in).

While they stress the need to know Arabic to read the Koran, Allah is Allah in all languages, it is a proper name. Jehovah is Jehovah and He is not Allah. Allah is not another name for Jehovah.

THEY HAVE THE WRONG GOD

Isaiah 45:5-6 “I am the LORD (that is Jehovah in the original) there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD (again Jehovah), and there is none else. Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the LORD(Jehovah not Allah) that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD(the name he calls himself- Jehovah); and there is none else.”

THEIR GOD DOES NOT HAVE A SON

Just a few of the Koran references Koran 4:171 “O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a Spirit proceeding from Him: So believe in Allah and His apostles. Say not “Trinity”: desist: It will be better for you: For Allah is One God: Glory be to Him: (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.”

Koran 5:76 “They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: For there is no god except One God.”

Koran 23:91 “No son did Allah begat, nor is there any god along with Him (emphasis mine).”

The Bible says: Prov. 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his sons name, if thou canst tell?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jesus, who they acknowledge as only a good prophet, is not the Jesus of the Bible. The Jesus of the Bible is the Son of God. The Jesus of the Bible claimed God as his Father:

John 5:17-18 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. If Jesus was not who He claimed to be, how could he be a good prophet?

THE SON OF GOD IS TO BE WORSHIPPED

There are many scripture references where people worshiped Him, and He never rebuked them. He accepted their worship. Even God the Father commanded the angels to worship Jesus:

Heb. 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

And some day all will bow before Jesus:

Phil. 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Before you write and say things about the Holy Bible, I urge you to consider the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the fact there are over 25,000 parts and copies from ancient times of the Holy Bible. There is plenty of proof that the Bible is what it claims to be. The Bible was written over a period of 1,500 years, and was finished over a 1,000 years before the Koran. Of all ancient books, the Bible has more proof of being exactly what it claims to be, without any error that would change any doctrine taught in its Holy Pages. The quotes given herein have no arguments with Bible Scholars about their exactness.
