I am voting ‘Yes’ for new SVG Constitution

EDITOR: I am a member of the New Democratic Party and I am voting “YES” for the proposed Constitution. I am following Parnel and Ralph on this. Arnhim Eustace gets this one really wrong.{{more}}

I am voting “YES” because of all the positive things in the proposed Constitution to make our democracy stronger, to make our freedom safer and to get rid of the Queen as Head of State. I like the values of the new Constitution.

Look what will happen if I vote no. I will be supporting same sex marriage, I will be supporting the abolition of the death penalty, and I will be voting to keep the Queen as my Head of State. I cannot vote “NO” and look my children in their face.

Mr. Eustace must stop his opposition to the proposed Constitution and let’s vote for the national good together. Then we in the NDP will face the ULP in the elections late next year at the polls to take power from them. I can see Ralph walking away easy with the next election if we vote “NO” to the Constitution, because many persons will vote “YES” and support Ralph, and then continue their support to the next elections.
