Leeward roads in need of repairs

Editor: Much has been written by me concerning the conditions that existed on the roads on the Leeward side, in terms of deep potholes. It is a great relief to see just before carnival that the majority of these holes were filled up and some repairs done to the roads.{{more}} As a road user, I am grateful to the authorities and I am sure the other road users are. However, it is my hope that those in the central leeward area will be fixed too.

Another area of concern as regards the road is the quantity of small stones and sand that is deposited on the road from trucks. These can cause accidents, as many of them are in corners. It is difficult if not impossible to prevent vehicles from sliding as they go on these pebbles and sand and try to brake up.

I hope that something is done speedily to address this matter so as to ensure that there is safety on the roads. The lives of our children and ourselves are important and also the maintenance of our vehicles in good conditions is also important.
