Open letter to Prime Minister Dr. Gonsalves

Dear Prime Minister

I write as General Secretary of The Unity Labour Party to convey the Party’s thanks and congratulations to the Government for a job well done in the field of Education.{{more}} The recent performances by the students in the just concluded common entrance examination speak volumes for the wonderful work you all have been doing and confirm that the Education Revolution is real.

The increase in the pass rate in both numerical and percentage terms is remarkable and what is even more gratifying is the achievement of Universal Secondary Education which now ensures that those students whose pass was deferred still get the opportunity to go to a secondary school. Gone are those dark days when only a minority of those who sat the examination would have had the opportunity of a secondary education.

This is a truly great day for this Nation and we are indeed proud of you and your Ministers.

Please convey the Party’s sentiments to all who were responsible in delivering such joy to us.
