Why not build a car racing track?

EDITOR: Racing is a sport. Car racing is especially a big one. Here in St Vincent and the Grenadines there are lovers of this sport and they find themselves time and money to replace stock parts with performance parts and devices which add power to the machine.

Motorists and pedestrians tend to see the performance of these cars which display their torque through the streets of Kingstown at times or making quick getaways through traffic. Some people share their concerned thoughts and wish accidents on such drivers, which is an awful thing to do being we are all innocent people out there.{{more}}

The government of St Vincent and the Grenadines seems to be building all interesting, social, recreational and educational structures but one; a RACE TRACK! Until a race track comes into play in this sporting country, drivers and tuners alike will test their ability and skills of this sport on the streets.

There are a lot of sports being practiced in this country and most have activity centres; tennis courts, basketball courts, netball courts, soccer and cricket fields etc.. If there were no basketball courts in the country, it’s a fact that lovers of this sport would have brought the game to the streets to enjoy a game of basketball, same goes for the fanatics of the car sports who have no tracks.

Car racing is a general sport worldwide and we also have local drivers in regional competitions. In this modern day there are a lot of car enthusiasts and there are a lot of persons out there who will rather look on at four-mile drag runs than the four quarters of a basketball game.

Let’s be fair on all sides and build a track to encourage an interesting sport in a safe way and also decrease road accidents.
