Officers death deemed a suicide by investigators
THE DEATH of Police Constable 1116 Kenrick Scott has been officially deemed a suicide by the Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force(RSVGPF).
Police say that last Wednesday July 22nd, at approximately 11 a.m., Scott checked in for duty at the Special Services Unit (SSU) base in Old Montrose, collected his service pistol and went to a bushy area located next to the base.
While in the bushy area, Scott is said to have telephoned a close relative, showed his service pistol and said he was going to kill himself.
Scott’s colleagues later found the constable dead with what has now been confirmed as a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. After finding Scott’s body, someone took a photograph of the dead man and shared it on social media. The photo went viral and many people began commenting on several aspects of the crime scene.
