National Public Library to host digital skills programme for seniors
The National Public Library, Archives and Documentation Services (NPLADS) is encouraging senior citizens to register for another of its Senior Citizens Digital Skills Programme, set to begin on August 17, 2026.
Sessions will be held at the National Center for Technological Innovation (NCTI) every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. over a three-week period, the NPLADS said in a release.
Participants will receive practical, hands-on training in:
• Basic computer skills
• Safe internet browsing
• Email communication
• Social media
• Mobile devices and everyday applications;
• Accessing online banking services safely. The programme is open to seniors whatever their level of competence navigating digital platforms. They are asked to register in person at the National Public Library, Archives and Documentation Services at Richmond Hill or by calling 456-1111, extension 3342 or 3343.
