Dickson celebrates Shafia and Jiuliano
THE COMMUNITY OF Dickson is basking in the appointment of the new CEO of the St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) Tourism Authority, Shafia London, one of their own.
Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Sustainable Development, Dr. Kishore Shallow, on Monday, June 22, 2026, announced the appointment during a media conference at the Beachcombers Hotel in Villa.
London’s roots are planted in the North Windward village of Dickson, where she was moulded, watered and grew.
In a post on the community page “Welcome to Dickson”, the headline reads, “And our Excellence continues”.
“Dickson Village has produced many extraordinary people, and this young lady is certainly among our very best.
“Today, we take a moment to congratulate Shafia London on her continued journey of exceptional leadership, excellence, and achievement,” the post also states.
“We are incredibly proud of all that you have accomplished and even more excited for all that is still ahead of you. Keep shining, keep leading, and keep showing the world that there are no limits to what you can achieve.
“Dickson Village is proud of you. Keep being limitless”, the post read.
London, is an alumna of the Langley Park Government School and St.Vincent Girls’ High School, and a 2003 national scholarship recipient.
She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with distinction from the University of The West Indies (UWI), Cave Hill; a Msc in biochemical engineering from University College London; and a First-Class honours Bachelor of Science from UWI, St. Augustine.
The daughter of Millicent Johnson of Dickson and the late talk show host Elwardo E.G Lynch, of Georgetown, London, is married to former attorney general Grenville Williams and is the mother of two sons.
Added to London’s achievement, Dickson is also celebrating the outstanding performance of Jiuliano Ryan, who placed 3rd overall and 2nd for boys in the 2026 CPEA Examinations.
Ryan, who was the valedictorian of the Dickson Methodist School’s graduating class of 2026, achieved a 100% grade in Mathematics.
