Close to 1,000 graduate from SVG Community College
MORE THAN 900 STUDENTS graduated from the various divisions of the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC) during its 2026 graduation ceremony on Tuesday, June 23, 2024.
The institution’s 17th annual graduation ceremony was held at Independence Park, under the theme, “Tomorrow’s Leaders: Empowered Minds, Limitless Possibilities”. Family members, friends, faculty, staff and invited guests gathered to witness the graduates receive their certificates, diplomas and degrees after successfully completing their respective programmes of study.
A total of 961 students were eligible for graduation from college’s various divisions. There were 440 students from the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies, 349 from the Division of Technical and Vocational Education, 42 from the Division of Nursing, 48 from the Division of Teacher Education, and 82 from the Continuing Education Division.
Delivering opening remarks was SVGCC Director Dr Karen Thomas, who reflected on the significance of the occasion and acknowledged the efforts of those who contributed to the students’ success.
