Teen gets suspended sentence for illegal ammunition possession
A TEENAGER, WHO found a bullet in the road and kept it in his house, has received a suspended sentence.
Dwayne Jackson, 19, of Richland Park appeared at the Serious Offences Court before Chief Magistrate Colin John, on June 15,2026 where he pleaded guilty that on June 13, 2026 at Richland Park he had in his possession one round of. 9mm ammunition without a license issued under the Firearms Act.
The facts as presented in court are that PC 88 Richardson was investigating a report of threatening language by Jackson who was of interest to the police.
Jackson was taken into custody at the Mesopotamia Police Station where he was informed of the report that was made against him.
