District Stairs expands with new Kingstown location

LOCAL BUSINESS District Stairs has announced the opening of a new showroom and retail store at a new location on Bay Street The company said the new location complements its old location at the Rusells Shopping Mall at Stonehy Ground and opened its doors from Wednesday, June 17.

A release from the company says this new showroom marks another step in their continued investment locally and its commitment to making quality building and renovation products more accessible throughout the country.

The Lower Bay Street facility forms part of a broader vision to expand access to quality building, renovation, and finishing products while creating employment opportunities and supporting economic activity within the country.

The development will be implemented in two phases.

Phase One will focus on flooring products, stair systems, glass and stainless steel railings, tiles, adhesives, thin-sets, grouts, waterproofing products, trims, mouldings, and related installation services for residential and commercial projects. Customers will also have access to the company’s professional construction, renovation, and installation services, providing a complete solution from product selection through project completion.

Phase Two, scheduled to open in August 2026, will significantly expand the company’s offerings to include electrical finishing products, plumbing fixtures, lighting, blinds, window treatments, bathroom accessories, kitchen accessories, and a broad range of products designed to support residential, commercial, and renovation projects.

When fully developed, the Lower Bay Street location is expected to become one of the most comprehensive home improvement and finishing products centres in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, providing customers with a convenient one-stop destination for quality products, professional advice, construction services, and installation solutions.

To help make home improvement projects more accessible, District Stairs SVG Ltd also offers its Trust Program.Through the programme, qualifying customers can undertake renovations, upgrades, and construction-related projects using flexible payment arrangements without interest charges or financing fees. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to helping more Vincentians improve their homes, businesses, and properties while making quality products and professional services more accessible.

Founder and Managing Director Marlon Bute said the expansion reflects the company’s confidence in the future of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and its commitment to contributing to national development through investment, employment, skills development, and community engagement.

“District Stairs SVG Ltd was founded on the belief that Vincentians deserve access to quality products, professional service, and workmanship that meets the highest standards. This new location reflects our confidence in the future of our country and our commitment to continuing to invest in its people and its development.”

Since establishing operations in St.Vincent and the

Grenadines, District Stairs SVG Ltd has steadily expanded its range of products and services while supporting homeowners, businesses, contractors, developers, and institutions across the country.

Beyond its commercial activities, District Stairs SVG Ltd has sought to be a responsible corporate citizen and community partner. Over the years, the company has provided tools and equipment to support the woodworking and vocational training programme at His Majesty’s Prison, assisted the Public Relations Department of the Royal St.Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force through flooring and painting improvements, and contributed annually to St. Benedict’s Nursery and Orphanage.

The company has also supported national heritage preservation efforts, including restoration and exterior improvement works to the historic Carnegie Building, home of the St.Vincent and the Grenadines National Trust and formerly the Kingstown Public Library. In addition, District Stairs SVG Ltd has supported the creative industries by providing accommodation, electricity, and water to carnival mas bands to facilitate costume production and preparation.

District Stairs SVG Ltd also supports efforts to strengthen skilled trades in St.Vincent and the Grenadines through training, mentorship, and future apprenticeship opportunities. As the company continues to grow, it hopes to contribute to the development of the next generation of skilled tradesmen and tradeswomen through practical learning opportunities and industry engagement.

When both phases are fully operational, the expansion is expected to support approximately twenty full-time jobs across retail operations, sales, administration, warehousing, logistics, construction, manufacturing, installation services, and customer support functions.

District Stairs SVG Ltd expresses its gratitude to its customers, employees, suppliers, contractors, financial institutions, and business partners whose confidence and support have contributed to the company’s continued growth.

The public is invited to visit the new Lower Bay Street showroom from Wednesday, June 17, and explore the company’s growing range of flooring solutions, stair systems, railings, renovation products, and home improvement services. Customers may also continue to visit the company’s Russell’s Shopping Centre, Stoney Ground location, which remains fully operational. Through its Trust Program, the company also assists qualifying customers with renovations and construction projects through flexible payment arrangements. The company serves residential, commercial, institutional, andgovernment clients throughout St.Vincent and the Grenadines and is committed to quality workmanship, innovation, customer service, skills development, and community engagement.
