Soroptimist SVG signs MOU to improve health for Girls and Women
Soroptimist International St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SISVG), and SVG Association of Endometriosis, Adenomyosis and PCOS Inc. formalised a partnership during the month of May while observing SISVG membership month and mental health awareness month .
The entities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishing a meaningful partnership focused on improving the health, wellness and empowerment of women and girls in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a Soroptimist release states.
“This collaboration brings together two organisations committed to supporting women through advocacy, education, support services and community engagement,” SISVG states. Since being chartered on July 14, 1987, SISVG said it has implemented numerous projects addressing health challenges affecting women in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. These initiatives have included breast cancer awareness, cervical cancer education, and endometriosis awareness programmes. Through this new partnership SISVG said it looks forward to expanding its outreach efforts and educating even more women about important health issues that affect their well being and quality of life.
“The SVG Association of Endometriosis, Adenomyosis and PCOS Inc. continues to play an important role in raising awareness and providing support for women living with reproductive health conditions including Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, PCOS, infertility, miscarriage and fibroids,” SISVG added.
” Through trauma-informed support groups and awareness initiatives, the Association promotes healing, understanding and emotional support.”
This partnership, SISVG said, reflects a shared commitment to holistic support for women and girls, especially during Mental Health Awareness Month, recognising the important connection between physical and emotional well being. It also aligns with SISVG’s observance of membership month, highlighting the organisation’s dedication to expanding partnerships and meaningful community service.
