VINLEC cooperating with electrocution investigation

The St Vincent Electricity Services (VINLEC), is undertaking an investigation in the wake of the death of Clias Dean in Bequia on Sunday, May 31, 2026.

In the statement VINLEC said it is “deeply saddened by reports of the tragic incident in Port Elizabeth, Bequia…” which resulted in Dean’s death.

“The Board of Directors, Management and Staff of VINLEC extend sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.

“We are committed to the safety of the public, and the communities we serve. An investigation is being conducted into the circumstances surrounding the incident, and

VINLEC remains cooperative to any official enquiries from the relevant authorities.”
