Community College student gains hands-on internship experience at NPBRA
Nyehma Jack, a year two student at the Technical Division of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC), has been gaining hands-on experience through an internship at the National Parks, Rivers and Beaches Authority (NPRBA).
Speaking in an interview with SEARCHLIGHT on Tuesday, May 20, 2026, Jack shared details about her role at the organization and the responsibilities she has been carrying out during the internship.
“I do graphic design and I edit and post videos for the national parks whenever they have an event,” explained Jack who is enrolled in the Digital Media and Marketing programme at the college. She explained that students are required to pass the Integrated Marketing Campaign examination in order to qualify for the internship opportunity.
The internship, Jack said, has already provided valuable exposure to the professional work environment and has allowed her to apply the skills she has been developing during her studies.
